I have re-painted it as all the colours were wrong plus
the lines didn't line up on various parts. I used the Flair
Spectrum series of paints (enamel)
So far we (my friend Colin and myself) have spent around 50
hours re-painting and weathering it so far!
I have done quite a few modifications..........
Added 50mm to the top of the fin post
Made new rudder to the right size and shape
I nstalled retracts (Mick Reeves)
Added under wing radiators (Mick Reeves)
Added Cannons and recoil units (turned balsa)
Added Cannon blisters on top of wing (Mick Reeves)
Added blisters and intakes on cowling (Mick Reeves)
Cut out old cockpit floor and added new lower floor
Added 3D dash (Mick Reeves)
Added Pilot (AH Designs)
Added other cockpit details
Added rear view mirror (after photo was taken)
Added aerial mast
New improved canopy, (old one was almost flat)
Closed loop on rudder
Special unit on elevator (MK used on F3A planes)
All the roundels and markings were made from solartrim and
the shine removed with scotchbrite.
